This Privacy Policy explains how Pawly collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when users in the United States access our website, mobile app, and related services. It also describes choices and rights that may apply under U.S. law, including certain state privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect
Account and sign-in information
- Email address, encrypted password, nickname, and account profile details when you sign up with email
- Unique identifiers and profile details made available by Apple Sign In or Google Sign In
- Service logs, IP address, app version, device model, operating system, language, and crash or error logs
Pet profiles and records
- Pet name, birthday or estimated age, breed, sex, and photos or videos
- Journal entries, mood selections, notes, timestamps, and related metadata that you create in the app
Community and support information
- Posts, comments, likes, saved items, follows, reports, and moderation-related records
- Emails, attachments, and device or app details you share when contacting support
Subscription and payment-related information
We do not directly store full payment card numbers for in-app purchases processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We may receive subscription status and transaction records needed to validate purchases and provide paid features.
- Product identifiers, purchase status, renewal or cancellation dates, and receipt validation data
- Fraud-prevention or billing support records associated with subscriptions
Optional location and notifications data
- Device push token and notification preferences if you enable push notifications
- Location data such as latitude, longitude, timestamp, and accuracy when you use walk-tracking features and grant location permission
Analytics and diagnostics
- Usage, event, and device information collected through tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, and AppsFlyer
- Mobile identifiers, installation identifiers, and similar technical data, subject to your device and app permission settings

- Directly from you when you create an account or use Pawly
- Automatically from your device, browser, and app interactions
- From third-party login, app store, analytics, crash reporting, attribution, hosting, and infrastructure providers

- Provide and maintain accounts, pet records, and community features
- Operate subscriptions, validate purchases, and provide customer support
- Improve app quality, monitor performance, and debug crashes
- Protect against fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and policy violations
- Send service notifications and, where permitted, product updates
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors that help us operate Pawly, including cloud hosting, analytics, crash monitoring, attribution, authentication, and app marketplace providers.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger or asset transfer, or with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in a manner that would require an opt-out under applicable law, except to the extent a third-party analytics or attribution tool is later configured in a way that changes that conclusion.
5. Retention
- Account information is retained until account deletion, unless longer retention is legally required
- Pet records and walk history are retained until you delete them or close your account
- Logs and security records may be retained for a limited period for fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance
- Billing or dispute-related records may be retained for the period required by law or necessary to defend claims
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access, correct, or delete certain account information by contacting us
- Control push notifications and some tracking permissions through device settings
- Disable location access at the operating system level
- Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play settings
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable U.S. state law, such as the right to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of certain personal information, and the right to appeal certain privacy decisions. 7. International Data Transfers
Pawly operates from Korea and may use infrastructure or service providers that process information in South Korea, the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your state or country of residence, subject to reasonable safeguards and contractual protections where applicable.
8. Children's Privacy
Pawly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
